Snowy Days in Seattle

Annie out in front the house. January 2012.
We had a whole week of snowy weather.  Peter and Ben both didn't have school.  It was a great time.

Peter being silly.

Peter built a jump out in front of the house.  He had a great time going off of it.

Cowboy Ben

The boys are going to be cowboys for Halloween along with Dirk and I. I will be a cowgirl. Ben got to go to a special night class at school to carve his pumpkin and of-course he wore his costume. So much fun. He loves being a cowboy.

Tooth

A few weeks ago Peter lost his first tooth- very exciting. He has been patiently waiting to lose a tooth. Peter is liking 1st grade but still really misses Hawaii. He likes his teacher and he seems pretty happy. His Dad and other family members built him an awesome treefort for his Birthday. He is growing up too fast. Today he stayed home from school sick and fell asleep on my lap which brought many good memories of him sleeping on my lap when he was a baby. I didn't get much done today but it was nice to snuggle with my big boy.

Half-Ironman in Kona

Dikr competed in half-ironman in June. We had a great time in Kona.

Aloha Hawaii

We were so sad to leave Hawaii...

Fall Days

We have moved.... we left Hawaii about 2 1/2 months ago and now are getting settled. Peter started school after 3 month summer break. Ben starts tomorrow at a preschool co-op two days a week. So here is what happened since May: Dirk did half-ironman on the big island, sold our home in hawaii, moved to Seattle, stayed with family, found a home, found a church, unpacked, and school started. It hasn't been relaxing summer but definitely a summer full of many new things. The kids are excited to see the leaves turning colors and Peter is excited to turn 7 in 6 days. So here is some photos from the last few months.

Daddy Dirk

This morning Dirk did his first triathlon of the season. He did great! 14th overall and 2nd in his age group (professional triathletes even do this race). Lanikai Triathlon is my favorite triathlon because it so beautiful and one mile from our house. But the best part about my husband is that as soon as he got his post race massage instead of sticking around for the awards ceremony he hurried home so he could go teach Sunday School to the kids at church. I love my husband.
