We have moved.... we left Hawaii about 2 1/2 months ago and now are getting settled. Peter started school after 3 month summer break. Ben starts tomorrow at a preschool co-op two days a week. So here is what happened since May: Dirk did half-ironman on the big island, sold our home in hawaii, moved to Seattle, stayed with family, found a home, found a church, unpacked, and school started. It hasn't been relaxing summer but definitely a summer full of many new things. The kids are excited to see the leaves turning colors and Peter is excited to turn 7 in 6 days. So here is some photos from the last few months.

Daddy Dirk
This morning Dirk did his first triathlon of the season. He did great! 14th overall and 2nd in his age group (professional triathletes even do this race). Lanikai Triathlon is my favorite triathlon because it so beautiful and one mile from our house. But the best part about my husband is that as soon as he got his post race massage instead of sticking around for the awards ceremony he hurried home so he could go teach Sunday School to the kids at church. I love my husband.

New PJ's
Ben in his PJ's and coat. He is all ready to walk Peter to school.
Peter and Ben in their matching Christmas PJ'S.
They have become such good friends. They really enjoy being with each other. Peter is more like me. Ben is more like Dirk. Dirk and I get along well so it makes sense that Peter and Ben would. I hope that they are always good friends. I really enjoy spending time with both of them. I feel so blessed that are my boys.

Peter is surfing!
Peter got a surfboard for Christmas and has been surfing pretty much straight since. He came home from the beach today and said, "Mom I got up 26 times." I am really proud of him and of-course a little scared as well. It is scary to see your little boy wipe-out and for those few seconds while he is under the water you are praying very hard that he is okay. I will post a picture of Peter surfing soon.
Ben received a guitar for Christmas. The boys have been singing and playing songs for us. It is so cute and fun to watch.
We also spent some time out on Kaneohe Bay and got to snorkel with manta rays. We all tried paddleboarding and really enjoyed it. We did many Christmas events and really tried to enjoy this season.
We had a great Christmas and we hope you did too.

CANDY-CANDY-CANDY
Our church had a Halloween carnival. Peter guessed the right number of candies and toys in the jar so he won the jar. We sent the majority of the candy with Dirk to work. I think we ended up with 300 pieces of candy. My kids don't even really eat candy so we had to get it out of house before I eat it all.
Peter was a forest ranger(without boots because it is very hard to find boots in Hawaii). Ben was a firefighter. They had a good time doing all the games and winning candy. Annie worked the bowling booth for the third year in the row.
